Is a trip to the World Heritage Site of Bad Ems, Germany worth it? July 24, 2021 - UNESCO added Bad Ems to the World Heritage List as one of the most important spa towns in Europe. Wow, what a blast. World heritage site with a thermal spa. A spa town, I can relax. A cure in a place where many poets and thinkers have already taken a cure. I immediately thought of Baden-Baden, wealth, glamour, history, casinos, shopping and promenades. A beautiful spa park. Off to Bad Ems, since I can't afford the beautiful Grand Hotel, the accommodation was a bit smaller. 10 days Bad Ems cure. I arrived on a Monday around midday with the Deutsche Bahn. Oh dear, what kind of train station is that or should we call it a ruined building? Totally demolished and neglected. Ok, you don't need a photo of it.
